Ever wanted to be on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here?’ Now you can. Leeds Raise and Give (RAG) are
to host their very own bush-tucker-based event.
Big Society on Campus (BSOC) is being billed as a brand new take on RAG’s traditional ‘Mr and Mrs Leeds’ event and hopes to raise money by testing the stomachs and wits of the big names on campus.
LUU societies will have the opportunity to put forward two candidates who will represent their society in a range of competitive tasks.
The event will be held in Walkabout and involve similar trials to those in the infamous jungle, with talent rounds, tasks, and prizes to be won.
RAG has promised many surprises on the night, hinting that at two of the challenges will be a ‘cash dash’ and ‘bush-trekker’ styled trials with bar-tabs to be won.
During the show, hosted by a presenter from Comedy Society, audience members will also have a chance to take part and win prizes.
Money raised through BSOC is to go towards for the charity Retrak which helps children living on the streets in Africa.
Tickets will be available to buy from November 19-23 and will be sold in the Union.
Any society that feels that they have what it takes to win BSOC but has not already enrolled in the event, should contact RAG for more information.
