Music fans will be heading to Myrtle Park in Bingley at the start of September to witness a selection of today’s most promising acts at Bingley Music Live. The 15,000 capacity festival will feature two stages, with bigger names playing the Main Stage and the newly named Discovery Stage playing host to up-and-coming and lesser-known artists.
Friday’s line-up may be a lot shorter than the rest of the weekend, but a headline performance from Manchester favourites James will be anything but small. Kicking off Friday at 4pm is Leeds pop band Apollo Junction. The Discovery Stage is headlined by Rae Morris following sets from the likes of Model Aeroplanes and Fickle Friends, both tipped for success this year.
The diverse range of acts on Saturday is bringing a bit of everything to Bingley, from headliner, the multi-talented producer Labrinth, to Carl Barât & The Jackals, headed up by Carl of The Libertines. An appearance from one of the most promising names in pop, Ella Eyre, is not to be missed in the evening. More new talent features on the Discovery Stage, with indie-pop band Pixel Fix and acoustic duo Meadowlark to name just a few.
Bingley’s first ever co-headline performances come from Super Furry Animals and Idlewild on Sunday night. Featuring earlier on the Main Stage are BBC Radio 1 playlist favourites Nothing But Thieves and VANT, both bringing rock music to Bingley as you’ve never heard it before. Also no stranger to Radio 1 is Kimberly Anne, playing on the Discovery Stage, after scoring a Top 10 single while featuring on Sam Feldt’s ‘Show Me Love’.
Bingley Music Live runs from 4th to 6th September and both Day and Weekend tickets are available here.
