Welcome Week at the University of Leeds is the best place for students to get involved, meet new people, and get some freebies!

Spread across three days, over 350 societies were ready to greet all students from 10 am until 4 pm.

Sports societies spent all three days in The Edge, offering students the opportunity to give all sorts of different sports a try, no experience required!

Across all three days, students saw media, general interest, culture, faith, and academic societies sharing information about their Give It A Go sessions, what their societies are all about, and more information about memberships.

Freshers Fair is the perfect place to get some good deals, from Domino’s £5 pizza vouchers to a free pair of underwear from Boux Avenue, there is something here for everyone.

This year, Freshers Fair saw some familiar faces as the beloved poster and plant stalls returned to campus, giving students a way to make their new bedrooms feel like home.

Alongside the stalls for both brands and societies, the union offers campus tours running all day long for those who want to get a guided feel for the campus.

All three days saw events such as photo frame decorating, bookmark decorating, speed friending, and family fun takeover. These events are designed to make welcome week a little less daunting and give students the perfect opportunity to meet new people.

No matter how students spend their fresher’s week, it is always worth a visit to campus to see what is going on, get some free things, and have some fun.
